And now for something completely different
Expecting some Monty Python, were you? Not today.I am undone,
Humbled by a small thing,
Broken by the widow's two mites
Flung at the coffers of Adonai.
"It is better to give than to receive."
Perhaps, Yeshua,
But receiving has wounded my pride.
Maybe it will finally die.
Adonai, my provider,
How You undo me!
How well You listen!I did say, "Break me,"
And so You have.
You smote me with kindness.
In Your grace,
You smote me
By the hand of a friend.
"They shall know you by your love..."
How I know You
By Your love, Adonai!
The Lord has been telling me to get an Israeli phone number. I've been prompt to obey in most things... but not this. I have no real answer why.
The Lord is so merciful. He literally thrust a phone in my hands yesterday through an Israeli friend. Both God and Ernesto said, in unison: "Here! Take this phone. You need it. You've delayed long enough. Take it!" (Ernesto is a bit gruff... yet kind nonetheless.) In case you're wondering, the poem above was prompted by another gesture of generosity. Yesterday was a full day.A few have asked me about offering support to the RoamingChile through a PayPal account. After prayer, stalling and such, I have added such a button on my main page.
Your prayers are invaluable to me. Those I cherish. God is my provider, and so I have no need to ask anything but prayers of you.
However, I'm learning that prohibiting those called to give hinders God's blessing to both the would-be giver and would-be receiver. I'm not going to sermonize. Either the Spirit has revealed this truth to you or not.
I have no expectation. I've only opened a door the Lord ask me to open. Who walks through it and when is His business.
In addition to your prayers, your sweet words of encouragement are a bit of Nutella on my Lord's bread. Those, too, I ask for, because I really like chocolate.
Shalom.
